Thank You Reception

LC Wheels hosted a public Thank You! to funders, donors and sponsors March 19 in Bridgewater. The even highlighted the support that has fuelled the door-to-door community service’s success.

Seventeen representatives of businesses, service groups, Legions, foundations, government agencies — plus elected officials from all three levels of government —received Thank You ! scrolls in person from LC Wheels President Jerome Tanner,

In his greeting, President Tanner said, “Your support helps keep our vehicles on the road, our drivers serving passengers safely, and our service available to people who otherwise might not have a way to travel.” He shared the example of a rider who needed transportation to regular medical treatments. “Without our service, getting to those appointments would have been extremely difficult. Because our transportation was available, they were able to attend every appointment and focus on their health instead of worrying about how they would get there.

“Stories like that happen every day. Every ride we provide represents someone maintaining their independence, staying healthy, or remaining connected to the community they love. That is why your sponsorship matters so much. You aren’t just funding vehicles or fuel — you are helping people live with dignity and remain active members of our community,” he said.

Following strategic a series of planning workshops, the Board is looking at charters, tours and adding Saturday service. These improvements would go hand in hand with seeking additional private sector funding support and increasing the number of Board members.
