Behind the Scenes: Manager Daron Lantz

Operations Manager Daron Lantz has been on staff since November 2022.

From Dartmouth originally, Daron grew up spending weekends and summers in the area at the family cottage. “I always loved the area,” he says. Daron moved to the Bridgewater area in 2000, transferring from a position in planning to quality control in the aerospace industry.

What is it like to work for LC Wheels? “It’s an awesome job. It’s nice to be able to come to work every day, knowing you’re making a difference in people’s lives. And it’s a great bunch of people on the board to work with, Ray (dispatch) is great to work with and we’re all working for that common goal.”

LC Wheels now has eleven part-time drivers and five volunteers. Daron explains that one or two positions may become full-time, now that there are four new vehicles to schedule from Monday to Friday.

Daron explains, “to have the support of the community, the federal and provincial governments, but mostly the community, MoDL, and the United Way, and all our supporters. That’s what makes the big difference. When somebody calls up and says… I really appreciate the service, and your drivers are great.”
