Meet the Driver: John Whalley

John Whalley began driving for Lunenburg County’s door-to-door ride service six years ago, accepting the suggestion of a close, now departed, friend. That was some excellent advice! John describes himself as “a helper” and is glad to meet riders, have a nice chat, and take them to their destination on time.

As a former Assistant Operations Manager for Toronto Paramedics Service, it’s no wonder John is concerned about keeping the schedule on time. “If a client is ten minutes late, it just dominoes the whole afternoon and then everybody else is late. That’s a challenge.”

John says, “I think LC Wheels is a wonderful service. Jerome Tanner has put a lot of effort into getting funding for the four new vehicles that recently came into service this spring.” John is excited about the recent service area expansion and the increased comfort that the new vehicles provide.

John usually has a funny story or a joke to tell. It’s your lucky day when John is your driver.
