Expansion to Mahone Bay, Lunenburg underway
It’s begun: expansion of LC Wheels service to Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and Riverport areas began Monday, April 8.
With this development, pre-booked, door-to-door transportation is available to residents in all communities of MODL as well as the Towns of Bridgewater, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay.
Took book a ride between any two places in our service area call (902) 523-4455 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Fares are $2.50 one-way ($5 round trip) within Towns and nearby MODL communities. For all areas, fares are $5 one-way ($10 round trip) for rides 6 km to 10 km, and no more than $7.50 ($15 round trip) between any two points in western Lunenburg County.
Many thanks to MODL for providing funds that eliminate high fares the for the longest distance, and to United Way (Lunenburg County) for providing funds to pay fares for those who can’t afford them.
